Navigating Life’s Transitions

As time continues to speed up, we can't help but encounter fast-paced change on a daily basis. Without the comfort and predictability of our traditional structures, it can be difficult if we don’t have a roadmap to follow or the tools to help us create one. So we often move through life without having any idea of who we are or who we are evolving to be. As we begin to understand the basic spiritual laws that support us, we can move beyond anxiety and procrastination by facing our fears head on. Only then can we honor our soul’s desires and ability to call in new resources… and liberate ourselves to expand and seek out new horizons.

Over 50 and Fabulous

As women we have not had any clear guidance in approaching this new adventure in our lives, but with support we can create a new model for living for ourselves and for future generations. Many of us are dealing with aging parents, our own health or financial issues or perhaps even re-inventing a new career or a relationship.

We often lack time for reflection or personal solitude so that we can get in touch with our innermost needs for nurturing, balance and connection with Self. We don’t know how to examine our own needs and desires because we’ve so much of our energy has been spent doing for our children, husbands, bosses, and others in our earlier stages of life. Many of us have made a habit out of being selfless at the expense of our own well-being. We gave up many of our dreams be great mother’s, wives, and daughters…but now is our time to be fabulous!

Barbara provides the support and methods for exploring our authenticity and guides us toward discovering the joy and power of owning our passion so that we may reinvent ourselves and claiming our new place in the world. We're juicy, smart and creative and ready for support.

Finding Calm in the Midst of Chaos

Kids, headaches, scraped elbows, carpools, bosses, taxes, taking the dog out... Life can be stressful. No matter how hectic your world is, finding balance is vital. In the past decade, our complex and changing world, has become a gateway for stress-related issues. Anxiety disorders, fear-based thinking and general tension have skyrocketed and as a result it has impacted the qualities of our lives, often affecting both our mental and physical health.

Barbara shares a variety of simple techniques from Momentary Meditations, her ground-breaking DVD, that provide the necessary tools to create positive, sustainable comfort in this age of disquiet. She offers tips on how to build a “peace bridge” between the hectic pace and priorities of the material world and the innate need for inner peace, balance and experiencing the sacred. When we are able to find this connection and let go of our cares and worries, our lives become fuller and richer and our bodies healthier. Many of the techniques that Barbara offers are simple and easy to put into practice and can be used at home, in the office or even while walking down the street.

Rituals for Everyday Life: Rituals for a New Century

Rituals have brought the sacred into Barbara’s life in a way that is structured, yet liberating and have offered her a way to open up her spirit and enrich her Universe. They have helped her to slow down from the mania and embrace many moments of peace and joy. Ritual is about awareness, appreciation and honor. Rituals don’t have to take long – a simple five minute ritual can be equally powerful as something that’s more complicated. By designing rituals for yourself and your family and by setting an intention (deciding its purpose), you can create an anchor that holds the family, friends and yourself together.

Daily rituals mark significant times, ease us through transitions and especially in times of rapid change, they bring structure and stability into our lives. It’s possible to gain valuable, new found benefits from the ordinary things we already do. Breakfast, for instance, can become a time when we quiet the mind before a busy day. Writing in a journal can release our pent-up emotions, and divorce rituals can give us closure--whether done alone or with an ex-partner. Bit rituals don't have to be religious, imposing, or even that introspective. They can be fun, empowering and freeing. Barbara will share twenty ways to make your life more meaningful and create a deeper connection with yourself, your children, family and community.

The Power of the Feminine

Women have incredibly unique gifts. As we begin to honor and acknowledge the presence of our female energy, we create space for a new life, one life filled with extraordinary power and one in which we can celebrate who we truly are! One of the unfortunate legacies of feminism and our production oriented world is that we do not always allow success to flow from our heart and soul and we often allow ourselves to operate using these outdated models to get ahead.

Authentic success is a soul-driven urge that may not fit so nicely into your perception of “success”. Are you ready to pursue success from a strong and genuine sense of self? Are you ready to let your soul speak and define success on your own terms?

Barbara shows women of all ages how to access and define their own personal view of success and gives them the practical tools to invite it into their lives. She guides in a way that helps develop intuition, so that we may listen to ourselves and honor our own self-guidance. This is the most powerful tool for accelerating success.

How to Restore Meaning to Our Holiday Traditions

Today most holidays are filled with stress and unrealistic expectations. Barbara has spent many years exploring traditional and new solutions to make holidays meaningful and joyous.

In defining holidays, we can look to our own roots, explore the practices of our ancestors, and even borrow from ancient cultures to celebrate holidays in a new way. But the real meaning and spirit of the holidays is love—our core, our inner life and our hearts. The tradition of celebrating the holidays by gift giving would be much more powerful if the giving was framed as a way of expressing love and caring for one another and the planet.

Unfortunately, when most of us commemorate such special days, we rarely think about, and in some cases we don't even know, that many of these holidays—“holy” days—date back thousands of years and were originally created to mark the changing of seasons and other happenings in nature and or humanity.
